Norfolk Broads Sailing School

DAY SAILING

The requirements for this course are that every student has already mastered the practical skills, and absorbed the background knowledge required for Basic Skills Level 2 or Level 3.
In addition, students should understand and be able to carry out the Seamanship Skills manoeuvres, including picking up moorings and man overboard.

Practical work includes preparing and equipping a yacht for cruising as well as planning and undertaking a day sail.

On completion the successful student should be capable and confident enough to plan a day passage and navigate hazards, understand and manouver in tide; anticipate difficulties and manage unexpected situations.

Providing all the essential skills neccessary for a more adventurous exploration of the waterways, this course may be taken as a 'short break' or as part of a week long holiday.
